Chattooga County Education: Which school had most students enrolled in 2022-23 school year?

Trion Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Chattooga County schools, welcoming 573 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51% of them were male, and 49% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 74% of the Trion Elementary School total enrollment.

Among the three schools in Chattooga County, Trion High School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 391 students, while Trion Middle School welcomed 276 students to be ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Trion Elementary School is part of Trion City School District, which generally encompasses schools within Chattooga County, with its main office in Trion.

In the previous school year, Trion Elementary School also had the highest number of students among Chattooga County schools.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
