CHS Northwest Regional Swim & Dive Championship

4

Calhoun High School issued the following announcement on Jan. 18

The Jackets Swim and Dive hosted the Northwest Regional Swim & Dive Championship this weekend competing against 28 teams and over 500 swimmers.  The Boys continued their winning streak to keep the 1st place trophy at CHS. The boys are swimming strong heading towards State! The Girls had some fast swims with new state qualifying times and personal bests.  A frustrating disqualification took away a strong first-place relay win for the girls, dropping them in the standings. The Girls finished 5th behind some tough teams and fast swimmers.  The Combined win went to Jefferson by a close 7 points. The Jackets have 2 more regular-season meets before their state qualifiers head to Georgia Tech to swim for the State title.  The Jackets host reigning state champions Marist on Thursday at 5:30 at the CAC. Go Jackets!!!!
