Each nominee is required to undergo interviews and auditions specific to their category. The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program, known as GHP, is a residential summer program designed for high school sophomores and juniors who exhibit exceptional skills and knowledge. The program offers an educational experience that differs from traditional high school settings, aiming to enrich students academically, culturally, and socially.
Out of over 4,400 nominations across Georgia, about 1,500 students were selected as semifinalists for this statewide competition.
