Several students from Rome High School's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently achieved notable success at a regional competition, earning them the opportunity to advance to the state level. Among the top performers was Jorge Alvarado, who secured first place in Computer Applications.
Other students advancing include Tarianna (Belle) Anderson, who placed tenth in Personal Finance, and Bryan Belteton, who took eleventh place in Business Communication. Adela Cabrera-Guzman also performed well with a ninth-place finish in Business Communication and seventh in Personal Finance. Samuel Hard excelled by securing second place in both Financial Math and Personal Finance. Aruba Samha earned eighth place in Personal Finance.
In addition to these accomplishments, several other students received medals for their performances. Izak Exsted, Timahj Stubbs, and Nancy Puac-Mendez finished fifth in Marketing; Nayeli Granados, Charles Scott, and Love Singh claimed fourth place in Sports & Entertainment Management; Theodore Kislat achieved third place in Introduction to Event Planning; Yasmin Martinez secured fifth place in Word Processing; Aruba Samha took third place in Help Desk; Timahj Stubbs also earned fifth place in Help Desk; while Karla Vasquez-Perez and Briana Vasquez-Perez placed fifth in Graphic Design.
Jane Moore, Rome High’s Business Technology Teacher and FBLA Adviser expressed her pride: “All of our students have been working very hard and I’m so excited to see so many of them place well,” she said. “We are so very proud of all these students.”
