The 19th Annual CCS Technology Competition has announced its first-place winners, recognizing the talents and innovation of students across various categories. These winners will advance to the Northwest Regional Tech Competition on January 31, 2025.
In the 3D Modeling category, James Linn won for the 3rd/4th grade level, Grace Torres for the 5th/6th grade level, Addyson Burns and Nathan Dowden for the 7th/8th grade level, and Fabian Nunez for the 11th/12th grade level.
The Animation category saw Jase Weitz and Peyton Upham winning at the 3rd/4th grade level, Emilio Perez at the 5th/6th grade level, Mohamed Herrek and Joseph Errickson at the 7th/8th grade level, and Micah Bennett at the 11th/12th grade level.
In Audio Production, Clara Linn took first place in the 5th/6th grade category, Taj Guillen and Jose Villarreal in the 7th/8th grade category, while Micah Poarch and Andrew Veal excelled in the 9th/10th grade group.
For Device Modification, Mason Brown was recognized in the 3rd/4th grade category, with Camden Reynolds and Julian Castillo Morales taking honors in the 5th/6th grades.
Winners in Digital Game Design included Aryan Shrestha and Alexander North for grades 3rd/4th; Susannah Hughey and Maebry Stepp for grades 5th/6th; Joeanna Rodriguez and Madilynn Preavtte for grades 7th/8th; Johnny Rodriguez and Haden Moody for grades 11th/12.
Digital Photo Production winners were Ryan Robbins & Gisele Lewis (5-6), Hadley Hayes (7-8), Landon Hammontree & John Kruse-Wood (11-12).
Graphic Design saw Emily Robbins winning in grades 3rd/4; Cora Spinks (5-6); Morgan Cox (7-8); Michael Engel & Tripp Morgan (11-12).
Internet Applications winners were Catelyn Hughes (5-6) with Daniel Escalera Medina & Monica Pena (11-12).
Mobile Apps had Winston Madrid & Santiago Garduno as winners from grades 3rd to 4.
Multimedia Applications awards went to Tucker Stephenson & Wright Paradis (3-4), Molly Silvers (5-6), Maddie Rae Stodghill & Anna Leigh Swably (7-8), Isaac Garcia Guzman & Quinton Brandenburg (11-12).
Productivity Design honors went to Ace Martin & Brantley Phillips from grades seven through eight; Catherine Ross & Lindsey Cox from eleven through twelve.
Project Programming saw Evey Gresham winning from eleventh/twelfth graders while Robotics was led by Emmaline Brookins within third/fourths grader’s groupings
Video Production celebrated Maggie Johnson’s success amongst those competing under third/fourths graders’ grouping alongside Dali McGowan / Emberly Maness( fifth/sixths ), Sara Tate(seventh/eighths ), James Afdahl / Jacob Bateman(ninth/tenths ) , William Anderson / Noah Schutz(eleven-twelves ).
Participants are encouraged to celebrate their achievements as they prepare themselves further towards showcasing such talents upon even larger stages ahead - "Good luck," noted officials wishing them well during future endeavors!
