State School Superintendent Richard Woods has announced the designation of 301 Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Schools across 104 school districts for 2025. Among those recognized is Calhoun High School, which has been acknowledged in two categories.

Calhoun High School received recognition as an AP STEM School, highlighting its excellence in math, science, and computer science AP courses. Additionally, it was honored as an AP STEM Achievement School, a distinction given to schools where at least 50% of AP STEM exams earned scores of 3 or higher.

Superintendent Woods stated that this honor reflects the school's commitment to academic excellence and preparing students for success beyond high school. The announcement concluded with a congratulatory message: "Way to go, Jackets!"
