CHS Attends CTI State Leadership Conference

1

Calhoun High School CTI traveled to Rock Eagle in Eatonton, Georgia for the CTI State Leadership Conference. The Georgia CTI State Leadership Conference is a three-day event with state-level competitions in a variety of CTAE related events and leadership training activities for non-competitors. Calhoun was well represented by the following state competitors in multiple competitions: Sol Rubio (early childhood education), Andrew Hodgkins (woodworking), Grace Delaney (graphic arts), Rayshawn Dudley (occupational creative thinking), Tyson Glass (occupational creative thinking), and Raphael Castro Gonzalez (occupational creative thinking). Competitions consist of creating projects, presenting projects, and participating in interview sessions.

Grace Delaney finished 3rd in the graphic arts competition after a strong showing with her graphic arts t-shirt design. Those participating in the leadership and network training included Yostin Lopez, Maria Reyes, Janiyah Mayes, Jason Thomason, Angel Herrera, and Logan Price. All students worked extremely hard throughout the year and upheld Calhoun's tradition of excellence at several CTI events. Thank you to Georgia CTI for hosting a great event! Go Jackets!
