Greene, aged 48, was born in Milledgeville, Georgia, and resides in Rome. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia, obtained in 1996.
On April 20, 2025, Greene commemorated Easter in a tweet, expressing joy in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. She stated, "HE IS RISEN! Today, we rejoice in the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Easter is a powerful reminder that light always overcomes darkness and truth always triumphs over evil. I proudly join Christians across America and around the world in celebrating His".
In a tweet dated April 21, 2025, Greene articulated her stance on gender identity. She declared, "It all comes down to one foundational truth. There are only two genders/sexes: MALE and FEMALE. No amount of hormones, medications, or surgeries will change a person’s gender/sex. All of those who believe the LIE are lost, mentally and spiritually."
Later on April 21, 2025, Greene challenged reports about Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth's position. She accused NPR of disseminating false information. Her tweet read, "NPR is lying!! Another reason we must completely defund NPR! Pete Hegseth is not being replaced. He’s doing a GREAT job as Secretary of Defense! Now will their donors stop donating and subscribers stop subscribing for being spoon fed fake news?"
Marjorie Taylor Greene has been serving in the U.S. Congress, representing Georgia's 14th District, since taking over from previous U.S. Congress member Tom Graves in 2021.
