Following a town hall event in Acworth, Georgia, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has addressed narratives she described as false, propagated by local Democrats concerning recent arrests at the event. Greene emphasized that those arrested were not innocent constituents as claimed but rather individuals involved in serious criminal activities.
“Local Democrats are spreading lies and claiming these were just innocent constituents, but they are not,” stated Congresswoman Greene. “These individuals were arrested for serious crimes, and their social media shows exactly who they are.”
Among those arrested was Johnny Keith Williams, charged with "Terroristic Threats and Actions" in addition to other offenses. Greene also highlighted online activities of the other two individuals, Andrew Russell Nelms and Kiyana Davis, which she categorized as extremist and dangerous.
Andrew Nelms allegedly commended the fatal shooting of a healthcare executive, interpreting it as a justification for the 2nd Amendment, and expressed a desire for similar incidents. Kiyana Davis reportedly made several posts advocating political violence, including a direct call for the assassination of prominent figures such as President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Elon Musk.
“This is sick. This is violent. And this is exactly who the Democrat Party has become,” Greene elaborated. “We are no longer dealing with political disagreements, we are dealing with deranged radicals who glorify violence and threaten public officials.”
The congresswoman credited local law enforcement for maintaining the event's peaceful nature and commended their efforts. She also reaffirmed her stance on resilient leadership:
“I will not be intimidated. I will not back down. The American people are watching, and they are tired of the double standard. Thank you to every police officer who played a part in ensuring the safety of my town hall’s attendees, including the protestors exercising their sacred First Amendment right peacefully outside.”
