Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Congress representative for Georgia's 14th district since 2021, is vocal about government spending and financial oversight. On April 7, 2025, at 11:02 PM UTC, she announced, "Empty federal buildings = BILLIONS in WASTED taxpayer cash! Tomorrow at 10 AM, we're exposing how DC bureaucrats are wasting your tax dollars! Join my @DOGECommittee hearing at the Voice of America building and see how we're working to pull back the curtain on waste, fraud."

The following day, April 8, 2025, Greene reaffirmed her commitment to addressing government inefficiencies, "This is the kind of swamp waste we’re fighting to shut down. My @DOGECommittee is leading the charge! TUNE IN at 10 AM!"

Later that day, she prepared to initiate her opening statement at the DOGE Committee hearing. Greene tweeted at 2:02 PM UTC, "I’m about to deliver my opening statement in @DOGECommittee. We’re exposing how the federal government is burning through $10 BILLION a year to keep EMPTY buildings running. Tune in NOW. Let’s end this waste!"
