Marjorie Taylor Greene, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 14th district, shared a series of tweets highlighting issues related to economic policies and federal spending. Her messages, posted in early April 2025, focus on the effectiveness of the "America First" economic strategy, concerns over federal expenditure, and the underutilization of federal buildings.

On April 4, 2025, "President Trump is PROVING the America First economy works. 209,000 private sector jobs added Wages UP 3.8% Federal workforce SHRANK by 4,000 Biden bloated government with useless jobs while President Trump is cutting the fat and putting Americans back to work!". Greene praised the reported economic outcomes under President Trump’s administration, highlighting job growth, increased wages, and a reduction in the federal workforce by 4,000 positions.

The following day, April 5, 2025, Greene expressed concern over taxpayer expenditure. "Taxpayers are getting SCAMMED. We’re spending $10 BILLION a year to maintain empty federal buildings while most agency HQs sit 75% EMPTY. @DOGECommittee is taking this issue head on. We must eliminate the waste!" She claims that significant waste results from maintaining largely empty federal buildings, a situation she argues should be addressed to reduce unnecessary spending.

Continuing her advocacy to address federal building inefficiencies, Greene tweeted on April 6, 2025, "$10 BILLION a year to maintain empty federal buildings… and for what? Most agency HQs are only 25% occupied yet taxpayers are forced to keep footing the bill. This Tuesday at 10 AM, @DOGECommittee will expose this waste and fight to right-size the federal footprint. Tune in!". She indicated that a committee would soon discuss these issues, aiming to bring greater efficiency to the federal infrastructure footprint.
