90 coaches at institutions in Floyd County earned $41,498 on average in 2022

Floyd County’s 90 coaches earned an average salary of $41,498 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the 15th highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Georgia post-secondary schools during 2022.

Floyd County is home to three post-secondary schools that paid coaches during 2022. Among them, Georgia Highlands College stood out with the highest average coaching salary of $57,098.

Male coaches of men's teams received $43,774 on average in Floyd County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $37,588.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
