Taylor Seay joins the Emory University Athletic Communications staff as the Assistant Director beginning in the spring semester of 2023.

Her appointment begins Monday, January 9th, filling the role previously held by Phil Engel who was elevated to Director of Communications and Sports Information this past August.

Seay joins the Emory staff after recently completing her undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. While an undergrad, she worked with the Hokies' creative media and athletic communications offices, managing social media accounts for multiple athletic programs while also being tasked with creating press releases and feature stories for hokiesports.com. Furthermore, she served as the primary communications contact for VT baseball during the 2021 season.

In addition, Seay has experience working with the Richmond Flying Squirrels, the Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, as well as for the Charlottesville Tom Sox, a collegiate summer league team based out of the Valley Baseball League. This past fall, Taylor also served as the social media manager for the Hokies NIL Store powered by Campus Ink, a merchandise store for Virginia Tech student-athletes featuring officially licensed jerseys, shirseys and apparel.

She graduated in December of 2022 with a degree in Sports Media and Analytics and a minor in Political Science.
