The 2022 USA South Women's Golf Tournament has finished its final round at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina with Methodist defending its title to become two-time champions.
The Monarchs led from wire-to-wire, posting a 20-over par 884 to take the title over second-place Huntingdon's 108-over par 972. Placing third with a 185-over par 1,049 was Piedmont.
Individually, Methodist's Jillian Drinkard took medalist honors for the second consecutive year by shooting an even-par 216. Three of her Monarch teammates placed second, third, and fourth, respectively, as Emily Gresham finished with a five-over par 221 while Natalie Brosig and Ingrid Steingrimsen carded identical nine-over par 225s. Rounding out the all-tournament team in fifth place was Meredith's Monika Vicario with a 12-over par 228.
Finally, the first hole-in-one in USA South Women's Golf Tournament history occured today courtesy of Southern Virginia's Bailee Wright who aced the 136-yard par-3.
