Cedartown issued the following announcement on Nov. 17
Thank you, thank you, thank you to ALL who helped build a new playground at Bert Wood Park!
We had awesome help from the Unified Brothers, City of Cedartown employees, Cedartown City Commissioners, Cedartown Junior Service League, Cedartown Middle School Skills USA, Cedartown Middle School Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Cedartown Library and two totally awesome donations from Chick-Fil-A (free biscuits) and Oldcastle (free mulch)!
The playground was made possible by a grant from KABOOM! and the play structure was purchased through BCI Burke and installed by PlaySouth Playground Creators.
So many people came together for this event and we couldn't be more proud! The playground is decked out in Dawg colors -- red, black and silver, and hopes are to add more equipment in the future.
