The Rome Floyd Chamber has announced the return of Operation Gift Card, a program presented by Atlanta Gas Light. The initiative, which started in 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, will again offer a gift card matching opportunity through the Chamber’s Commerce Card, now available digitally.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 10 AM. During this one-day online event, customers can purchase $25 or $50 gift cards from participating businesses at https://www.romega.com/operation-gift-card. For each purchase made, the Rome Floyd Chamber will match the amount spent until $5,000 in matching funds are distributed. Each customer is limited to one matched gift card while supplies last. Bonus gift cards expire one year after purchase.

Pam Powers-Smith, President of the Rome Floyd Chamber, said: “We are thrilled to once again bring this program back. Operation Gift Card is a great way for us to help promote our local businesses and encourage shopping in Rome and Floyd County, and it is so much fun!”

The Commerce Card program allows customers to receive their digital card instantly and use it at multiple participating businesses throughout the year.

Businesses interested in joining Operation Gift Card must contact Amber West at awest@romega.com or call 706-291-7663 by August 20, 2025.
