U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia, posted a series of statements on her social media account between August 8 and August 9, 2025, addressing issues related to war funding, U.S. veterans, and criticism from Fox News host Mark Levin.
On August 8, Greene called for an end to ongoing conflicts in a brief post: “This is incredible!! End the war!!!!! Peace is the only answer!!!!!”
The following day, she expressed strong opposition to U.S. financial involvement in international reconstruction efforts and military actions abroad. In her post dated August 9, Greene wrote: “I am not paying to rebuild Ukraine. I am not paying to rebuild Gaza. I am not paying to kill foreigners in foreign wars. And I’m furious that our veterans kill themselves at an avg of 22 a day and live with nightmares whether awake or asleep. I’m not supporting or staying”.
Later on August 9, Greene responded publicly to criticism from Fox News host Mark Levin: “Fox News host Mark Levin is a raging psychopath. He is attacking me, lying about me, and EVEN WORSE in comments in his own post calling Christian’s ‘bigots’ and says I should go to prison!!! All because I am UNAPOLOGETICALLY AMERICA FIRST and UNAPOLOGETICALLY FIGHTING FOR MY”.
Greene has been re-elected multiple times since first winning her seat in Congress in 2020. She secured victory over Kevin Van Ausdal that year with nearly three-quarters of the vote. In subsequent elections, she defeated Marcus Flowers in 2022 with approximately two-thirds of the vote and Shawn Harris in 2024 by a similar margin.
