Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Congress member representing Georgia’s 14th district since 2021, has shared her views on various topics through a series of tweets. Born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and currently residing in Rome, Greene graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1996.
On June 10, 2025, Greene expressed criticism towards the company 23andMe. She stated that “23andMe claims to be a science company, but supports radical trans ideology that denies basic biology.” She emphasized her belief that DNA proves there are only two genders and asserted that this is not political but scientific and divinely ordained.
Later the same day, Greene acknowledged support from fellow Congress member Rep. Hageman for her proposed legislation titled the Protect Children’s Innocence Act. In her tweet at 19:36 UTC, she thanked Hageman by saying “Thank you @RepHageman for supporting my Protect Children’s Innocence Act!” The bill aims to protect children from what she describes as “radical trans ideology and barbaric genital mutilation surgeries under the guise of so-called ‘gender affirming care.'”
In another post at 19:50 UTC on June 10th, Greene criticized Democrats’ stance on parental rights concerning gender-affirming medical procedures for minors. She argued against allowing parents to subject their children to such procedures by stating “Democrats are claiming that parents should be able to take their child to a doctor to undergo abusive sex change surgeries…” Greene further highlighted existing child abuse laws designed to protect children from physical harm.
Marjorie Taylor Greene continues to serve as an influential voice within Congress while maintaining strong opinions on social issues like gender identity and children’s welfare.
