U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has represented Georgia’s 14th district since 2021, recently addressed several policy issues and local law enforcement actions in a series of social media posts.

On July 23, Greene called for legislative action on real estate taxation. She wrote, “The House must pass my No Tax on Home Sales Act to eliminate the federal capital gains tax on your primary residence. You earned that equity. You should keep it! “.

Later the same day, Greene praised local law enforcement in Whitfield County for a recent drug seizure. She stated, “Huge thank you and congratulations to Sheriff Pierce and the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office for seizing over 200 grams of fentanyl, enough to kill 100,000 people. This wasn’t just a drug bust. It was a life-saving operation.”

On July 24, Greene expressed opposition to employment visa programs that bring foreign workers into the United States. In her post she said, “I oppose every effort to replace American workers with foreign workers. H1-B is a problem.”

Greene was born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and currently resides in Rome at age 48. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia (1996). Since replacing Tom Graves in Congress four years ago, she has remained vocal on economic and immigration issues.
