Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, currently representing Georgia’s 14th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on her Twitter account on April 14 and 15, 2026, addressing issues ranging from inflation and child-rearing costs to warrantless surveillance and government reauthorization of FISA Section 702.

On April 14, Greene highlighted the increasing financial burden on American families. She stated, “The cost of raising a child is over $300,000 on avg, up over 27% in just the past few years! This is why Americans voted to lower inflation, cost of living and to put America FIRST. And why they are so angry the focus is on war driving inflation higher.”

The following day, she questioned recent political developments related to surveillance. On April 15 she wrote: “So warrantless spying is MAGA now??” Later that day, Greene criticized former President Donald Trump’s stance regarding federal surveillance authority under FISA Section 702: “Trump was always against FISA 702 without warrant requirements because it was abused and used to spy on Trump himself and well as hundreds of thousands of Americans? So why is he now demanding Congress reauthorize FISA 702 clean?? Without warrant requirements!!”

Marjorie Taylor Greene has served as the representative for Georgia’s 14th District since replacing Tom Graves in 2021. She was born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and resides in Rome. In previous election cycles, she secured victories against Shawn Harris in 2024 with approximately 64% of the vote; Marcus Flowers in 2022 with about 66%; and Kevin Van Ausdal in 2020 with nearly three-quarters of ballots cast.

Her recent social media posts reflect ongoing debates within Congress regarding national security policy as well as persistent concerns among voters about economic pressures facing American families.
