U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who represents Georgia’s 14th district in Congress, posted a series of statements on July 22, 2025, addressing government funding deadlines and legislative priorities.

In her first post at 11:36 a.m., Greene announced her position on an upcoming congressional vote, stating: “I’m not voting for a September 30th CR. That is totally unacceptable. I’m giving everyone adequate notice.”

Later that day at 2:35 p.m., Greene shared further remarks directed at the press regarding two issues. She wrote: “My answers to reporters on: Where is Epstein transparency? Another ridiculous CR deadline under Mike Johnson on September 30th.”

At 4:22 p.m., Greene shifted focus to tax policy and expressed appreciation for former President Donald Trump’s support of her proposed legislation. She posted: “Thank you, President Trump, for supporting my No Tax on Home Sales Act! My bill would ELIMINATE the federal capital gains tax on the sale of your primary residence. You worked for it. You should keep it. Let’s get this bill passed!”

Greene has represented Georgia’s 14th District since replacing Tom Graves in Congress in 2021 and was born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 before earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in 1996 and residing in Rome.
