U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who represents Georgia’s 14th congressional district, recently posted a series of messages on her X (formerly Twitter) account discussing her political priorities and legislative efforts.
On August 21, 2025, Greene shared details of a conversation with former President Donald Trump: “I had a GREAT talk with my FAVORITE President this morning, @realDonaldTrump. I led the objection in Congress against the stolen election of 2020. The President and I agree that election integrity is one of the most important issues to fight for and we will never stop fighting”.
The following day, August 22, she addressed her constituents about changes to her online profile and reiterated her commitment to serving Americans: “Edited my profile on both my X accounts and added my political affiliation, AMERICA ONLY. My job title is ‘Representative’ and I ONLY work for my district and Americans, ALL OF THEM, even those who disagree with me or don’t like me. It doesn’t mean I don’t like other countries,”.
Later on August 22, Greene announced proposed legislation aimed at eliminating federal capital gains tax on home sales: “No Tax on Home Sales Act My bill… Eliminates the federal capital gains tax on primary residence sales Encourages mobility by removing a key disincentive to selling, helping to increase housing supply Protects first-time buyers by improving inventory and lowering”.
Greene has maintained strong electoral support since first winning office in 2020. In that year’s general election she defeated Kevin Van Ausdal with nearly three-quarters of the vote. She was re-elected in 2022 against Marcus Flowers with over 65% of the vote and again in 2024 against Shawn Harris with more than 64%.
