Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 14th district since 2021, has recently shared several statements on social media concerning legislative actions and personal interests. Born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974, Greene graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1996 and currently resides in Rome.

On May 20, Greene stated her position on gender-affirming care for minors. She remarked “There’s nothing compassionate about barbarically mutilating a child under the guise of so-called ‘gender-affirming care.’ My bill will make this practice a felony.” This tweet reflects her advocacy for legislation that would criminalize certain medical procedures related to gender transition for children.

The following day, May 21, Greene expressed support for her favorite sports team while attending an event in Washington D.C., posting “In Washington D.C. this week, cheering for my home team. Go Braves!”

Additionally, on May 21, she highlighted an upcoming legislative action regarding her proposed bill aimed at protecting children’s innocence. She announced “Tomorrow, my Protect Children’s Innocence Act will be getting marked up in the House Judiciary Committee at 10 AM. This is an important step toward bringing it to the House floor for a vote.” Her emphasis was clear as she added “LET’S GET IT PASSED!!”

Marjorie Taylor Greene succeeded Tom Graves in representing Georgia’s 14th District and has been active on issues concerning child protection laws.
