Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Georgia’s 14th district since 2021, shared her perspectives on immigration, congressional expenditures, and government spending through a series of tweets on June 2, 2025.

In her first tweet, Greene expressed concerns about border security and immigration enforcement under the Biden administration. She stated: “Deportations can’t happen fast enough. Now imagine who came across the border and got away, meaning they were never stopped during the Biden admin.” Greene emphasized that there are “millions of got aways in the U.S.” whose whereabouts and intentions remain unknown.

Later that day, Greene addressed taxpayer-funded trips for members of Congress known as codels. She commented: “Taxpayers funded trips for members of Congress and Senators are called codels. Most codels are unnecessary and expensive.” Greene mentioned she has participated in only one such trip to the southern border during what she described as “the height of the migrant invasion under the Biden administration.”

Greene concluded her day with a tweet criticizing financial allocations by Democrats to certain organizations. She asserted: “Democrats have funneled millions of YOUR hard-earned tax dollars to left-wing, woke NGOs.” Additionally, she announced an upcoming event hosted by her committee aimed at exposing what she termed as “waste, fraud, and abuse” related to these expenditures.

Marjorie Taylor Greene was born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1996 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She currently resides in Rome.
