Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 14th district, has been active on social media discussing various topics related to government spending, law enforcement appreciation, and political influence within her party. Greene replaced Tom Graves in 2021 and has since been a vocal figure in national politics.
On May 14, 2025, Greene highlighted fiscal concerns by stating that significant savings have been achieved through cutting wasteful government contracts. She remarked on the issue of government expenditure by saying “Just by cutting wasteful government contracts, @DOGE has been able to save BILLIONS.” She further expressed her view that Washington’s problem lies not with revenue but with spending.
Later that day, Greene extended her gratitude towards law enforcement during National Police Week. She shared her experience of welcoming officers from the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office to Washington D.C., mentioning an event at the Capitol hosted by the GOP Majority Whip. In her tweet she stated “Happy National Police Week! It was an honor to welcome officers from the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office to Washington, D.C. today.”
In another post on May 14, Greene addressed claims made by Mike Lawler regarding political contributions to their party’s majority status. She questioned Lawler’s assertion and asked her followers if they supported his agenda or President Trump’s MAGA America First agenda. Her tweet read “Here is Mike Lawler claiming HE gave us the majority NOT President Donald Trump!!!”
Marjorie Taylor Greene was born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and currently resides in Rome. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1996.
