Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Congress member representing Georgia’s 14th district since 2021, has been vocal on various issues through her social media presence. Born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and currently residing in Rome, Greene graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in 1996.
On May 15, 2025, Greene addressed the topic of birthright citizenship on social media. She stated “This is just another reason why we must end birthright citizenship, a practice that was not started until after the civil war! Big case in the Supreme Court today. I hope they judge to protect America from this scam!” This comment was made as the Supreme Court deliberated on a significant case related to this issue.
Later that day, Greene shared her thoughts regarding legislative processes involving budget cuts. She remarked “Don’t shoot the messenger, I’m just going to tell you what I’ve been told. There is extreme frustration, rightfully so and I agree, not seeing DOGE cuts being passed through Congress in the form of rescission bills.” Additionally, she mentioned ongoing discussions between the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and other entities.
Greene also highlighted her engagement with agricultural stakeholders during a meeting with the Southern Crop Production Association. In her words “It was so wonderful meeting with the Southern Crop Production Association yesterday! American farmers are crucial to our economy and crucial to Georgia.” She emphasized discussions focused on maximizing America’s agricultural potential.
Marjorie Taylor Greene continues to be an active participant in political discourse as she represents her constituents’ interests at both local and national levels.
