Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has represented Georgia’s 14th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, posted a series of statements on social media criticizing both U.S. and Israeli actions in ongoing Middle East conflicts and reflecting on recent political developments. On April 8, 2026, Greene questioned the effectiveness of ceasefire efforts in the region, writing:

“Israel never stopped bombing, especially Lebanon. So was there ever really a ceasefire? Trump, ‘the peace President’, should have never started this war alongside Israel, who clearly doesn’t want peace.”

Later that day, she commented on the political landscape in her home district and former President Donald Trump’s policy shifts:

“GA14 was never in danger of flipping blue, but the results speak for themselves. Trump flipping MAGA from America First to America Last, covering up for the Epstein files, and betraying key campaign promises of no more foreign wars has been the best help for the Democrats. Sad!”

This statement followed several election cycles where Greene maintained significant margins over her opponents: defeating Shawn Harris in 2024 with 64.4% of the vote; Marcus Flowers in 2022 with 65.9%; and Kevin Van Ausdal in 2020 with 74.7%.On April 9, Greene further criticized Israeli military actions and congressional support for Israel:

“Israel is killing many innocent people and children in Lebanon just as they did in Gaza, including Christians. But most Americans are silent. When I introduced amendments last year, to strip Israel of U.S. taxpayer’s money, only 5 other members of congress voted with me.”

Greene has been a vocal figure since taking office after replacing Tom Graves in Georgia’s 14th district.

She was born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and currently resides in Rome.
