Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Georgia’s 14th district, has expressed strong criticism of New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s policies via social media. Greene, who succeeded Tom Graves in 2021, addressed various issues through her posts.
On June 12, 2025, Rep. Greene tweeted about a confrontation with Governor Hochul regarding New York’s sanctuary state status. She alleged that this policy rewards illegal alien criminals rather than deporting them and cited specific incidents to support her claims: “One raped a 13-year-old girl at knifepoint. Another burned a homeless woman alive.” She described Gov. Hochul’s stance as “compassion” while expressing her disapproval by calling it otherwise here.
Later on the same day, Greene posted another tweet criticizing Gov. Hochul’s handling of the case involving Laken Riley, stating that Hochul’s policies were responsible for enabling Riley’s killer. According to Greene, New York flew the individual to Georgia using taxpayer money instead of opting for deportation: “Laken would be alive if Democrats cared more about American women than illegal aliens” here.
In another post on June 12th, Greene further elaborated on Laken Riley’s murder by an illegal alien released under sanctuary policies in New York: “I confronted Gov. Hochul, mother to mother,” she said while recounting the tragic circumstances leading up to Riley’s death here.
Marjorie Taylor Greene was born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1996 with a BBA. Currently residing in Rome, she continues to actively engage in political discourse.
