Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has represented Georgia’s 14th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, posted a series of statements on social media criticizing government spending and surveillance policies.

On April 11, 2026, Greene wrote: “Due to recent events, it’s become evident that we are not voting our way out of this. Americans across the country have been calling for a national tax revolt, having tired from their taxpayer dollars being spent to fund endless war, endless scams, and endless fraud like Somalian https://t.co/RIj1XdqpMc”.

Shortly after, she added: “Joe Bannister from https://t.co/K2vo3EWnWC joined me” (April 11, 2026).

Later that day, Greene addressed federal surveillance powers: “Another broken campaign promise is ending warrantless spying through FISA. Now Trump’s WH wants a clean extension, WITHOUT a warrant requirement. I always voted against it bc FISA was abused and used to spy on Americans. Massie is voting NO but most R’s will obey Trump’s https://t.co/rQRDw2L4Sx” (April 11, 2026).

Greene has served in Congress since succeeding Tom Graves in 2021 and represents Georgia’s 14th District. She was born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and currently resides in Rome. In recent elections she defeated Shawn Harris in 2024 with over sixty-four percent of the vote; Marcus Flowers in 2022 with nearly sixty-six percent; and Kevin Van Ausdal in 2020 with almost seventy-five percent.
