Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has represented Georgia’s 14th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, posted a series of statements on May 1, 2026, addressing topics ranging from congressional procedure to national economic concerns and foreign policy.

In a post published at 12:40 UTC, Greene commented on recent legislative proceedings regarding the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) Section 702. She wrote, “This is remarkable and you should watch this entire video. The House was going to pass a 45 day extension of FISA 702 (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act), BY VOICE WITHOUT VOTING, and Thomas Massie courageously forced a debate and demanded a recorded vote. Later that day at 15:41 UTC, Greene addressed economic issues facing Americans. She stated, “If you want to know why your dollar is losing its value and you can’t afford life read the post below. BOTH Republicans and Democrats did this together. And did you know that in just 6 years Social Security will be insolvable? That means most of you won’t ever receive a SS https://t.co/ZUqltJYWen”.

At 17:43 UTC on the same day, Greene discussed U.S. foreign policy towards Iran and former President Donald Trump’s actions. She posted, “Our own Intelligence Community knew Iran was not seeking a nuclear weapon. We should not be at war with Iran, but Trump is on the verge of more. This is a major broken campaign promise and the American people are paying high prices as a result, along with the rest of the world. https://t.co/vO9qcDA2hr”.

Greene has served in Congress since replacing Tom Graves in 2021 and currently resides in Rome, Georgia. Born in Milledgeville in 1974, she has maintained her seat through multiple election cycles—defeating Kevin Van Ausdal in 2020 with nearly three-quarters of the vote; Marcus Flowers in 2022; and Shawn Harris in 2024 by significant margins.
