Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has represented Georgia’s 14th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, posted a series of statements on her Twitter account on June 1, 2026, addressing topics ranging from children’s programming to local elections.
In her first post of the day, Greene wrote: “I won’t stop..” (June 1, 2026).
Later that afternoon, Greene commented on the content of children’s television and the involvement of children in discussions about sexual identity. She stated, “Thank you for speaking out @robsmithonline
Sesame Street should not be celebrating or promoting the way adults have sex and identify.
Nor should any children’s group.
Leave kids out of sexual identity politics and protect children’s innocence!!
Just let them grow up!!” (June 1, 2026).
In an evening post regarding the Los Angeles mayoral race, Greene addressed election mechanics and endorsed a specific candidate. She said, “There are 14 candidates in the LA Mayor’s race and the winner has to get more than 50% of the vote. If not, the top two go to a runoff in November.
Spencer Pratt needs to make it to the runoff and LA voters need to not vote for the mayor who won’t let people rebuild their homes.” (June 1, 2026).
Greene has been an active figure in national politics since succeeding Tom Graves as representative for Georgia’s 14th district in 2021. She was born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and currently resides in Rome at age 48. In previous elections, she secured victories over Shawn Harris in 2024 with approximately 64% of the vote, Marcus Flowers in 2022 with nearly 66%, and Kevin Van Ausdal in 2020 with almost three-quarters of votes cast.
