Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Representative who has won multiple general elections since 2020, posted a series of tweets on August 15, 2025, addressing topics ranging from international diplomacy to education and national identity.
In her first post of the day, Greene expressed support for an ongoing diplomatic effort: “I’m praying for tremendous success at the historic peace summit between President Trump and President Putin in Anchorage, Alaska. Ending this war is the right thing to do, not only for Ukraine and Russia, but the entire world. Proudly, I never voted to fund the deadly massacre.” (August 15, 2025).
Later that afternoon, she commented on her stance regarding national allegiance with a brief statement: “Well I’ve converted to America ONLY. So I guess I’m good. https://t.co/Jx7WVtO5no” (August 15, 2025).
In another tweet posted in the evening after visiting Unity Christian School with Dr. John Barge, Greene wrote: “Thank you, Dr. John Barge, for the fantastic tour of Unity Christian School! It was such a pleasure being in a Christ-centered educational environment. We need to see more schools like this! Parents should have the right to choose to put their tax dollars and their children in https://t.co/OczTEQOoAA” (August 15, 2025).
Greene has maintained significant electoral support in Georgia’s congressional races over recent years. In 2024 she defeated Shawn Harris with approximately 64% of the vote; in 2022 she prevailed over Marcus Flowers with nearly two-thirds of ballots cast; and in her initial run in 2020 she won by almost three-quarters against Kevin Van Ausdal.
