Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has represented Georgia’s 14th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, posted a series of statements on her social media account addressing recent international events and domestic concerns.
On March 11, 2026, Greene commented on reported violence in Lebanon: “Israel killed a beloved Priest in Lebanon in their vicious bombing campaign in Christian villages. Christians are gathered to mourn the death of Father Pierre El-Rahi. America must stop funding, providing weapons, and aiding Israel’s attacks on innocent people and children.”
The following day, March 12, 2026, she addressed U.S. military casualties and incidents abroad: “Under President Trump, U.S. Military servicemen and women are being killed and injured, reportedly at higher numbers than we are being told and innocent children were killed at a school in Iran by U.S. bombs. The price of oil is skyrocketing, tankers are being bombed, and today”
Later that same day, Greene shared a personal anecdote involving Congressman Thomas Massie: “Just called Thomas Massie. Phone rings. Thomas answers. Me: hey what are you doing? Massie: I’m at Kroger. Call you back in 10. lol, he’s knows the grocery prices. Do you think Trump has been to a grocery store to do his own grocery shopping in the past 30 years? Nope.”
Greene was first elected to Congress after defeating Kevin Van Ausdal in the 2020 general election with nearly three-quarters of the vote. She subsequently won re-election against Marcus Flowers in 2022 and Shawn Harris in 2024 by wide margins each time.
Born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and currently residing in Rome, Greene succeeded Tom Graves as representative for Georgia’s 14th district.
