Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Georgia, recently posted several statements on her social media account addressing issues related to Congressional scheduling, mortgage policies, and economic concerns.
On November 8, 2025, Greene commented on potential disruptions to the legislative calendar, stating: “This might keep the House out of session throughout next year.”
Later that same day, she expressed opposition to proposed long-term mortgages as a solution to housing affordability challenges. Greene wrote: “I don’t like 50 year mortgages as the solution to the housing affordability crisis.
It will ultimately reward the banks, mortgage lenders. and home builders while people pay far more in interest over time and die before they ever pay off their home.
In debt forever, in debt for” (November 8, 2025).
On November 9, 2025, Greene addressed inflation trends under recent presidential administrations. She said: “Inflation hit a 40-year record high of 9% under Biden!!
I give President Trump and his administration credit for bringing it down to 2.5%.
But prices are still sky-high and families are drowning in debt.
Congress needs to get to work. The American people can no longer”
Marjorie Taylor Greene has been elected multiple times to represent Georgia’s 14th congressional district. In the most recent general election in 2024, she defeated Shawn Harris with approximately 64 percent of the vote; earlier victories include defeating Marcus Flowers in 2022 and Kevin Van Ausdal in 2020 by similar margins.
