Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Georgia, posted several statements on her social media account in early August 2025, addressing topics ranging from criminal justice to congressional oversight and economic concerns for young Americans.
On August 4, 2025, Greene announced her intervention in the case of former Congressman George Santos. She wrote, ” BREAKING: I just sent a letter to the Office of the Pardon Attorney urging President Trump to commute the sentence of former Congressman @MrSantosNY. A 7-year prison sentence for campaign-related charges is excessive, especially when Members of Congress who’ve done far worse”.
The following day, on August 5, Greene referenced ongoing investigations related to Jeffrey Epstein. She stated, ” EPSTEIN SUBPOENAS ISSUED: @GOPOversight just subpoenaed Bill and Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Merrick Garland, Robert Mueller, William Barr, Jeff Sessions, and Alberto Gonzales. The U.S. Department of Justice was also subpoenaed for records”.
Later that same day on August 5, Greene addressed economic challenges facing younger generations in the United States. She posted: “Young Americans are being robbed of the American Dream. They’re priced out of homeownership, crushed by inflation, and betrayed by BOTH parties in DC. I’ll fight like hell to protect our kids’ future.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene has maintained her seat in Congress through multiple election cycles. In 2024 she won reelection against Shawn Harris with approximately 64% of the vote; in previous years she defeated Marcus Flowers (2022) and Kevin Van Ausdal (2020), each time securing a significant majority.
