Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, representing Georgia’s 14th district since 2021, recently shared a series of statements on social media addressing key issues and legislative actions she is involved in. Born in Milledgeville, Georgia, Greene graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA and currently resides in Rome.
On May 8, 2025, Greene stated during a hearing that she “demanded that Damien Lehfeldt, the Chairman of USA Fencing, leave his post.” She criticized Lehfeldt for allegedly endangering young women by allowing “biological males to compete in the women’s division within USA Fencing.” Greene expressed her belief that “Democrats are on the losing side of this issue” here.
Later that day, Greene announced her excitement about the Gulf of America Act being presented to the House floor. She declared it as “the first step to codify into law one of President Trump’s favorite executive orders,” emphasizing its importance in recognizing entrepreneurs supporting the Gulf’s economy and service members here.
Greene further commented on reactions to renaming efforts related to the Gulf of America. She claimed that Democrats are upset about these changes while having previously supported renaming military bases and removing statues of historical figures like Lincoln and Washington. According to Greene, “They don’t hate the name… They just hate America” here.
Marjorie Taylor Greene continues to be an active voice in Congress since replacing Tom Graves in 2021.
