Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Georgia’s 14th district, posted a series of statements on July 17, 2025, addressing both legislative actions and personal security concerns.

In her first post at 19:27 UTC, Greene announced her efforts to modify the Defense Appropriations Bill, stating, “I’ve introduced amendments to strip billions in foreign aid from the Defense Appropriations Bill. America is $37 TRILLION in debt. Our people are broke and cannot afford the cost of living. Congress sends your money to every foreign war and foreign country like it’s their job.”

Later that evening at 22:04 UTC, Greene discussed ongoing threats to her safety: “For 15 months, I received terrifying death threats from one individual who worked alarmingly close to my office building at the Voice of America. That kind of sustained, targeted harassment is deeply disturbing. I truly feared for my life, as I do with all of the death threats”. She also included a separate link in another post at the same time: “https://t.co/Xgq5gvgnRE”.

Greene has represented Georgia’s 14th district since 2021 after succeeding Tom Graves in Congress. Born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and currently residing in Rome, she holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia.
