Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Congress member representing Georgia’s 14th district since 2021, has been vocal on social media regarding various political issues. Born in Milledgeville, Georgia, in 1974 and currently residing in Rome, Greene graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in 1996.

On May 7, 2025, Greene addressed the topic of “mentally ill biological men invading women’s sports” during a @DOGECommittee hearing. She criticized a Democrat for wearing “giant ‘Patriarchy’ earrings” while defending what she described as “men beating down women in their own sports.” Greene remarked that “The hypocrisy is deafening.”

Later that day, Greene announced that President Trump would sign her Gulf of America Act into law. She emphasized the importance of renaming it to the Gulf of America and urged for swift action by stating “We must send this bill to President Trump’s desk ASAP!” The House was scheduled to vote on the bill the following morning.

In another tweet posted on May 7, Greene expressed hope that Democrats continue supporting “mentally ill biological men who keep trying to beat women in sports,” describing it as a losing stance. She also called for Mr. Lehfeldt’s resignation from his position as Chair of USA Fencing by saying “Mr. Lehfeldt you should resign from the Chair of USA Fencing.”
