Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Congresswoman from Georgia who has won multiple elections since 2020, posted several statements on her social media account in early September 2025 addressing recent protests, the ongoing war in Gaza, and criticism of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

On September 3, Greene wrote about an incident involving protesters at her office: “I’m not interested in interviewing with a group that stormed my office, had to be removed by Capitol Police, and brought along the domestic terrorist leader of the Tesla Takedown protest, the same mob that organized the destruction of dealerships and private property. And Don?”

The following day, she commented on the impact of ongoing conflict in Gaza: “This war is going to have immense devastating effects for generations to come on both sides. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Instead it has led to horrific mass killing of innocent children and people in Gaza, debilitating lifelong PTSD for Israeli soldiers, and Oct 7th hostages” (September 4).

Later that day, Greene criticized public health officials at the CDC: “Purge the CDC of the medical tyrants that are responsible for making America sick and Doctor Frankenstein “science” that has killed people.” (September 4).

Greene’s remarks come after her re-election victory over Shawn Harris in 2024 with approximately 64% of the vote. She previously defeated Marcus Flowers in 2022 with nearly two-thirds support and Kevin Van Ausdal in 2020 with almost three-quarters of votes cast.
