U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a series of statements on her social media account on August 16 and 17, 2025, addressing economic issues facing the American middle class, employment concerns related to the H-1B visa program, and new legislative efforts regarding home sales.

On August 16, Greene commented on the state of the middle class in America, writing, “I’m seeing videos like this routinely. The hard working middle class is becoming the working poor. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE.” The post reflects ongoing discussions about wage stagnation and rising living costs.

Later that day, Greene addressed employment practices among U.S. companies and the H-1B visa cap: “Well that’s like winning the lottery. And to add to it, the cap has already been met for the entire year back in July. We need to stop companies from needlessly firing thousands of Americans and replacing them with H1Bs. And we need to incentivize our college students to fill”. Her comments highlight debates over skilled worker visas and their impact on domestic employment.

On August 17, Greene announced new legislation aimed at changing tax policy for homeowners: “My bill, No Tax On Home Sales Act, will eliminate Capital Gains taxes when you sell your primary home! This will drastically increase the supply of homes on the market and allow people to KEEP ALL the equity they have earned in their home. I hope to have bipartisan support.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene represents Georgia’s 14th congressional district. She has secured her seat through several election cycles: in 2024 against Shawn Harris with 64.4% of the vote; in 2022 against Marcus Flowers with 65.9%; and in 2020 against Kevin Van Ausdal with 74.7%.
