Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Representative from Georgia who has consistently won her congressional races since 2020, posted a series of tweets in January 2026 addressing divisions within the MAGA movement, the prosecution of Matthew Perna related to the January 6 Capitol events, and Senator Lindsey Graham’s foreign policy actions.

On January 15, 2026, Greene commented on internal conflicts among supporters of former President Donald Trump. She wrote: “True. MAGA is being ripped apart by the paid influencers, bots, and blind cultists who are operating in hive mind attacks against anyone who dares to criticize and demand accountability from the very President and Republican majority they voted for.
It is such a turn off and is https://t.co/mbKZOAV9MO”
.

The following day, Greene addressed the case of Matthew Perna, who died by suicide after facing prosecution for his involvement in the January 6 Capitol breach. On January 16, she stated: “Her nephew, Matthew Perna, committed suicide while being harshly prosecuted by former U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves because her nephew Matthew nonviolently walked through open doors of the Capitol on Jan 6th.
To this day the Trump admin has not held Graves or anyone accountable https://t.co/Xx3u6u9Aom”
.

Later that same day, Greene criticized Senator Lindsey Graham’s international travel and approach to foreign policy regarding Iran and Israel: “Senate goes into recess and Lindsey Graham hops on plane to South Caro.. er scratch that, Israel because he’s devastated Trump didn’t bomb Iran so he has to scheme with Bibi to find another way to pressure Trump to bomb Iran. https://t.co/hSxEX8odl1”.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has maintained strong electoral support in her district over recent election cycles. In 2024, she defeated Shawn Harris with over 64% of the vote; in 2022 she won against Marcus Flowers with nearly 66%; and in 2020 she prevailed over Kevin Van Ausdal with almost 75%. These results reflect her continued prominence within Republican politics in Georgia.
