Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has represented Georgia’s 14th district since 2021, posted a series of statements on her social media accounts between May 31 and June 1, 2026. Her posts addressed inflation measurement changes, prescription medication access, and the impact of foreign policy on Americans.

On May 31, Greene criticized proposed changes to the way inflation is measured in the United States. She wrote, “Changing the inflation measurement gauge to trimmed mean inflation means the new rate of inflation will no longer measure the volatile high cost items like food and energy that hit Americans the hardest. It’s like switching from traditional math to common core in order to get the https://t.co/wHJDZbCJtz”.

Later, on June 1, Greene commented on healthcare access in America compared to other countries. She stated, “People can easily buy many medications without a prescription in other countries but not in America. This is one of the things I’ve been learning about as we travel. Our healthcare system is broken and way too expensive. https://t.co/WpI52pwTJs”.

In another post on June 1, she referenced U.S. foreign policy decisions and their economic consequences for citizens. Greene said, “America voted in 2024 to end foreign wars, not to go to war with Iran and to fund genocidal wars. Americans aren’t billionaires who can afford to sit back and relax paying over $4.50 for gas and nearly $6 for diesel. I’m not sorry for ‘chirping’ because it’s my 1st amendment https://t.co/KfsTjmfyzM”.

Greene was elected to Congress after defeating Shawn Harris in the 2024 general election by a margin of over 28 percentage points. Previously, she won against Marcus Flowers in 2022 and Kevin Van Ausdal in 2020 by similarly large margins. Born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and currently residing in Rome, Greene succeeded Tom Graves as representative of Georgia’s 14th district.
