Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican member of Congress, posted a series of tweets on November 14 and 15, 2025, addressing her legislative agenda regarding H1B visas and responding to criticism from former President Donald Trump.
On November 14, Greene cited statistics about the distribution of H1B visas and announced forthcoming legislation. She wrote, “The Fox News numbers say it all: 70% of H1B visas go to India. 10–15% go to China. 80% are ENTRY-LEVEL jobs that should be going to young Americans!! Our own people are being pushed out of tech, medicine, and every major industry. I’m introducing a bill to eliminate H1B”.
Later that day, Greene responded publicly to comments made by former President Trump. In her tweet dated November 15, she stated, “President Trump just attacked me and lied about me. I haven’t called him at all, but I did send these text messages today. Apparently this is what sent him over the edge. The Epstein files. And of course he’s coming after me hard to make an example to scare all the other”.
Greene also suggested that her legislative efforts may have been a factor in Trump’s response. On November 15 she tweeted, “Maybe it was my bill to get rid of the H1B visas.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene has maintained electoral success in Georgia’s congressional races in recent years. In the 2024 general election, she defeated Shawn Harris with approximately 64% of the vote; in 2022 she prevailed against Marcus Flowers with nearly 66%; and in 2020 she won against Kevin Van Ausdal with almost 75%. These results reflect consistent support within her district across three consecutive election cycles.
