U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene published a series of posts on her official X (formerly Twitter) account in early January 2026, addressing topics ranging from congratulatory messages to criticism of government spending and voter expectations.
On January 9, 2026, Greene posted a brief message: “Congratulations my friend!”.
The following day, Greene expressed concerns over federal spending and called attention to Republican senators’ support for refugee welfare programs. On January 10, 2026, she wrote: “MAGA is ready to hold a tax revolt in 2026 because they are so angry about their tax dollars going to foreigners and foreign countries that is used in fraud and scams like the Somali daycare scams, but Republican senators funded the refugee welfare program with $5.7 billion.”
Later the same day, Greene commented on voter expectations versus legislative outcomes: “Voters thought they ended this in 2024. But in reality, it never changes.”
Marjorie Taylor Greene has maintained her seat through several election cycles. In the 2024 general election, she defeated Shawn Harris with approximately 64.4% of the vote compared to Harris’s 35.6%. Previously, Greene won against Marcus Flowers in the 2022 general election and Kevin Van Ausdal in 2020.
