Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 14th district, shared her experiences and perspectives following a town hall meeting disrupted by protestors. Through a series of tweets, Greene expressed her views on the Democratic attendees, the actions of the police, and critiqued a Senator for his alleged actions regarding a deported gang member.
In her post on April 16, 2025, Greene stated, “I’m not intimidated by the Democrats who tried to shut down my town hall tonight. I refused to tolerate their selfish attempts to disrupt an event that was for all of my constituents, not just the ones who could make the most noise.” Her remarks reflect challenges she faced during the event meant for all constituents in Georgia’s 14th district.
Later that day, Greene publicly supported the police present at the town hall. On April 16, she tweeted, “For anyone questioning or criticizing the police at my townhall last night, the GREAT police officers conducted themselves in textbook fashion and protected every single person there by keeping the peace!!!!!” She condemned the protestors, describing their behavior as “deranged and aggressive.”
Greene also commented on a U.S. senator’s actions in relation to an MS-13 gang member deported to El Salvador. On April 16, she said, “This Senator swore an oath to uphold the United States Constitution but is now proudly on his way to defend a now deported MS-13 El Salvadorian gang member.” She suggested that the senator’s actions were bordering on treason.
