Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, currently representing Georgia’s 14th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed a series of controversies and allegations on her official Twitter account on May 13, 2026.
In her first post that day, Greene commented on criticism from prominent online figures, writing, “This is why MAGA’s top paid influencers are attacking me because I refused to be bought by the same lobby that pays them. And because I’m not bought and paid for, I’m free to speak the truth and will continue to do so. Thank you for your attention to this matter.” (May 13, 2026).
Later that afternoon, she turned her attention to Dr. Anthony Fauci and potential legal accountability under a future Trump administration: “Fauci should be prosecuted. Will Trump’s DOJ hold him accountable for anything?” (May 13, 2026).
In another statement posted the same evening regarding political developments in Kentucky’s 4th district, Greene stated: “There was no hush money offered to the jealous ‘Mrs. Massie’ wannabe. Thomas Massie is just being dishonestly smeared because his primary is next week and foreign money billionaires are trying to buy Kentucky’s 4th district! Younger voters GOTV and beat the spoon fed Fox News” (May 13, 2026).
Greene has represented Georgia’s 14th District since succeeding Tom Graves in January 2021 and has secured consecutive re-election victories in recent cycles—defeating Shawn Harris in 2024 with over 64% of the vote, Marcus Flowers in 2022 with nearly two-thirds of ballots cast, and Kevin Van Ausdal in her initial run in 2020 with more than seventy percent support from constituents.
Born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and now residing in Rome at age 48, Greene continues to play an active role both within her district and national debates.
