Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican member of Congress, posted a series of tweets on August 10 and 11, 2025, addressing concerns about crime in Washington D.C., U.S. foreign aid spending, and juvenile curfews.

On August 10, Greene thanked former President Donald Trump for his actions related to public safety in the nation’s capital. She wrote, “THANK YOU @realDonaldTrump!!! Our nation’s capital has been a 24/7 CRIME SCENE! We want our Capital back and to be a safe place for everyone!! “.

Later that day, Greene commented on U.S. foreign aid expenditures with specific reference to Ukraine’s military aid. She stated, “Most recent full year of annual foreign aid funding- 2023, however Ukraine received far more in military aid. Basically the U.S. pays off countries, with some being paid based on how they treat number 2 on the list, which has nuclear weapons. All while we continue the death”.

On August 11, Greene addressed youth safety by highlighting a new policy: “8:00 pm curfew in effect for juveniles. Do you know where your children are?”

Marjorie Taylor Greene has consistently secured her congressional seat over several election cycles. In the 2024 general election, she defeated Shawn Harris with approximately 64% of the vote; she also won previous elections against Marcus Flowers in 2022 and Kevin Van Ausdal in 2020 by significant margins.
