U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has represented Georgia’s 14th district in Congress since 2021, recently posted a series of statements on her official Twitter account addressing issues ranging from the closure of a California clinic to federal funding for public broadcasting and U.S. foreign aid.
On July 18, 2025, Greene commented on the closure of a medical facility in California with the post: ” SHUT DOWN! The largest clinic in California mutilating and sterilizing kids is FINALLY closing its doors! This place pushed puberty blockers, irreversible surgeries, and life-altering drugs on children, all in the name of radical left-wing gender ideology. Thanks to https://t.co/6ecAhjX1X4″.
Later that day, Greene addressed changes to public broadcasting funding by stating: “WINNING!! NPR & PBS have been DEFUNDED! $535 MILLION in taxpayer dollars SAVED. The American people shouldn’t be forced to pay for anti-American, left-wing propaganda. They can hate us on their own dime now. @DOGECommittee https://t.co/1SpJN0koco”.
On July 19, 2025, Greene discussed congressional voting patterns regarding U.S. financial support related to Ukraine and Russia: “This week my amendment to stop your hard earned tax dollars from being sent to continue slaughtering people in Ukraine and Russia failed because ONLY 76 Republicans voted for it. Every single one of the “anti-war” Democrats voted for it. And 141 Republicans voted for it.”
Greene was born in Milledgeville, Georgia in 1974 and currently resides in Rome at age 48. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1996.
Since taking office after succeeding Tom Graves in Congress, Greene has frequently used social media platforms to communicate her positions on legislative matters and national issues.
