Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, posted a series of statements on her social media account in early August 2025, addressing border security, foreign policy, and trends in marriage and home ownership among young adults.

On August 2, 2025, Greene claimed there have been no illegal border crossings for the past three months. She wrote: “There have been ZERO illegal border crossings for the past three months. ZERO! Thank you so much!! It feels like our home is finally locked up safe and sound and criminals are no longer breaking in our windows and doors. Well done!!! “

Later that day, Greene commented on U.S. involvement in foreign conflicts: “In 2024, America voted to end funding and fighting foreign wars. Funding, fueling, and ultimately fighting Russia in Ukraine would be a complete betrayal to the majority of Americans who want nothing to do with paying to murder people in some foreign land over a foreign” (August 2, 2025).

On August 3, 2025, she discussed demographic trends related to marriage and homeownership: “I think this is one of the most startling and tragic statistics I have seen. Only 12% of 30 year olds are married and own a home. Marriage, family, and home ownership are the ultimate trifecta of security and happiness. I hope this trajectory can be reversed.”

Greene has maintained her seat in Congress through several election cycles; she defeated Shawn Harris in the 2024 general election with approximately 64% of the vote. In previous elections, she won against Marcus Flowers in 2022 with nearly two-thirds of the vote share and against Kevin Van Ausdal in 2020 with almost three-quarters support from voters.
