Jamie Williams, a teacher at Calhoun Elementary School, has been selected as the 2025–2026 System Teacher of the Year for Calhoun City Schools. The announcement was made during the district’s Back-to-School Staff Kickoff event.

Williams was recognized for her dedication to students and her approach to teaching. She stated, “We don’t just deliver content—we call out the greatness. We push. We encourage. We believe. And when our students start to believe it too, they don’t just meet expectations—they exceed them.”

Calhoun City Schools expressed confidence that Williams will represent the district well in the upcoming State level competition. The community will have an opportunity to celebrate her achievement during CHS Football Homecoming on Friday, October 3.
